I’m FAT…for now!

I’m very excited for the new couch to arrive! We’re not sure what to do with the old one though. We could put it in our storage locker or give to GoodWill. It might be nice to have if/when we move to a house, but is it worth it? It will cost $100 to clean the Gunther smell off it. I wish we could keep it and it could be Gunther’s couch! Thankfully my dad has a truck, so we don’t need to rent a pick-up from a moving services company. That will save us some cash! Pictures to come when it arrives Tuesday!

Today was a pretty good day. Woke up at 10, went to the gym and ran/walked for 25 mins, came back and had a shower, went for a manicure and the grocery store for a few things. Marc made a turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. It was the first turkey of the holidays for us. It was very good!

I was laying in bed around 3:00 with Gunther reading my new book “twilight” when it totally occured to me that today was Sunday, when I was supposed to bring Gunther to the nursing home! I had almost forgot. Thankfully I remembered and had a little nap and at like 3:50 we left. It is right around the corner. It was his second time, and it was pretty good. More people wanted to see him than the last time and we spend a fair bit of time talking to an elderly man with mesothelioma who absolutely loved Gunther. Now when we go, we won’t be supervised – that was for the first few times. Gunther seems to like it. He was very excited today, although it seems to tire him out a little bit. I was laughing, after dinner, Marc AND Gunther both crashed. (We gave Gunny some turkey and mashed potatoes too!)

I’m just sitting here. Marc is in bed, Gunther is chewing on a pop bottle. I’m off all next week, so that is a nice treat. Ok, well have a good night!!

I hardly know what day it is. It’s hard to believe Christmas is over and New Years is coming up. I am off all next week. Don’t have any major plans. Maybe heading to Miranda’s house tomorrow. I have to call Kathy. I haven’t spoke to her since Christmas Eve. Today my scale was 257. I don’t know what she may think, but I think I’ve done pretty good. But it’s time to get back on track and start losing again. I took Gunther on a long walk yesterday. I was thinking about going to the gym, but I didn’t, took Gunther instead. I may do it today instead. I haven’t been sleeping very well, maybe because I’m still sick, but maybe it was the leaky faucet – I have to get Marc to check that.

So that’s about it for now. Just sitting here right now with Gunther. Marc is still in bed. Was looking at wedding venues last night, that’s a separate post!!!!!
